Repertory Grid

Personal Construct Psychology and Repertory Grid Technique are likely to be familiar to those who work in the Human Resources and Organisational Change arenas. If you have not come across Repertory Grid before, it is an excellent addition to the coach or mentor's tool-kit, offering a sophisticated means of revealing the unique ways that clients perceive the world around them. This technique is extremely powerful as it does not assume a pre-defined framework and then try to 'fit' everyone into a limited set of 'boxes'.

Webgrid2 at http://tiger.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/ is, in our opinion, the best free software package available to support the process of eliciting and generating grids. For practitioners that have an appropriate level of competence in applying Repertory Grid Technique, this is an excellent piece of software for your toolkit.

If you would like to learn how to apply this technique there are a number of traditional face-to-face courses as well as commercially available software packages like Enquire Within that are supplied with appropriate tutorials and support.
